Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Austin, TX 78703
Job Duration: 6 Months+ (possibility of extension)

 
Summary:
Compassionate and highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in providing evidence-based primary care to diverse patient populations. Experienced in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, and patient education. Able to work collaboratively with clinical care teams to optimize patient outcomes. Licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse with current National Board Certification.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive primary and family care, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic disease management
  • Provide administrative support: clinic opening/closing, inventory, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection
  • Manage patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure optimal health outcomes
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, preventive care, and chronic disease management
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care
  • Encourage patient engagement in their healthcare and well-being through wellness programs, screenings, and behavioral health support
 
Experience & Skills:
  • Master’s Degree – Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and state license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred (family medicine or primary care); completion of Client Minute Clinic primary care training program acceptable
  • Knowledge of quality measurement in chronic disease management
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving ability, and self-motivation
  • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently or within a remote clinical care team
  • Proficient in information management and clinical technology
  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensures
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues to ensure quality patient care
 
Certifications:
  • National Board Certification – Family Nurse Practitioner
  • BLS (ARC or AHA)
