Job Type: 3 Months+ (With Possibility of Extension) – 40 hours weekly shift.
Schedule: 8X5 Shift – Day shift
Local Pay: $76/hr. on W2
Travel Pay: $3200/week gross

The Clinical Nurse II – Perioperative role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a Perioperative unit. Includes: CVOR, Cath Lab, Operating Room, Recovery Room/PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Pre/Post Unit, HOI Pre-Op, HOI Operating Room, HOI Recovery Room/PACU, HOI Surgery Center

Job Description:
The Clinical Nurse II – Perioperative role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a Perioperative unit. Includes: CVOR, Cath Lab, Operating Room, Recovery Room/PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Pre/Post Unit, HOI Pre-Op, HOI Operating Room, HOI Recovery Room/PACU, HOI Surgery Center
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care.
- This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs.
- Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Additionally, the Clinical Nurse II meets the requirements outlined in the Clinical Ladder program respective to his/her department.
- The Clinical Nurse demonstrates a commitment to hospital involvement and professional growth by participating in committees, attending related meetings, and presenting education projects and/or supplemental activities.
Skill Requirements and certifications:
- One (1) year recent Operating Room (OR) experience in an acute care hospital.
OR - Recent completion of the Client Perioperative Training Program.
- Active CA RN License
- AHA – BLS, ACLS
