Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Location: Saint Joseph, MI
Duration: 4+ Months contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Schedule Notes: Nights 7 pm - 7:30 am, (3*12) hours shift, Weekend and Holidays as Needed. Float as needed.
Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is also provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Duties:
- Preoperative Preparation & Assessment: Preparing patients physically and emotionally, checking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and ensuring informed consent is obtained.
- Intraoperative Care (Scrub/Circulating): Managing the sterile field by passing instruments (scrub) or monitoring the OR environment, documenting care, and ensuring safety protocols are followed (circulating).
- Postoperative Monitoring: Assessing patients in the recovery room (PACU), managing pain, monitoring for complications like bleeding or infection, and providing discharge education.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- RN state license
- BLS - AHA
- ACLS - AHA
- NIHSS
