Job duration: 3+ months of contract (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, 36 hours/week (3x12-hour shifts)
Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend
NON-TAXABLE STIPEND offered 50 miles and above.

The nurse will be expected to float between the two areas based on patient census and volume. The role involves caring for mothers and newborns, assisting with deliveries, and supporting post-birth recovery.

Responsibilities:
- Provide care to labouring patients and assist with deliveries, including circulating and recovering C-sections.
- Support postpartum care for mothers and newborns, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care.
- Act as a second nurse during delivery, focused on newborn care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital protocols.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements:
- Required: Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Postpartum care.
- Proficient in L&D, postpartum care, and newborn management.
- Ability to circulate and recover C-sections.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Certifications & Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring).
- STABLE (post-resuscitation care for newborns).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
