Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby Unit
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 12 hours/day, 3 days/week
Schedule: Rotating shifts if needed. Every other weekend. Holidays if contracted over Christmas and New Year’s. Floating to 7EP (same patient population). Will schedule less if staffing allows.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and newborns in an inpatient setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, with a focus on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and newborn care. The nurse will float to similar units as needed and work primarily night shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
- Manage cases involving postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean sections, and vaginal deliveries.
- Administer medications including magnesium sulfate.
- Support breastfeeding and maternal education.
- Float to 7EP unit as needed to care for similar patient population.
- Work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience.
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Current Wisconsin RN License or Multi-state NLC License.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Academy of American Pediatrics NRP certification.
- Clinical competence in mother-baby, antepartum, and nursery care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Additional coursework/certifications in Maternal-Newborn Nursing or Inpatient Obstetrics.
- Experience with breastfeeding support and postpartum education.
