Job Description:
Summary:

• Treat patient with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).
• Patient Population: Adult 18 to 65 years of age.

 
Required:

• 2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.
• Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects.
• Able to assume the role of charge nurse.
• Able to complete admissions and discharges; Competent in the use of IV pumps.
• Competent in care of a diabetic patient.
