RN - Med-Surg/Secure Unit

Job Title: RN Med Surg (Travel)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Contract)
Pay range - $65/hr- $70/hr.

We are also offering travel and per diem packages that is based on eligibility.

• Work Hours: 36 hours/week (3x12-hour night shifts)

Shift Timing: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Job Summary:

seeking a skilled and experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join its travel team. The RN will provide high-quality care in a 600+ bed academic hospital, working primarily night shifts and potentially floating to other units. This role demands strong clinical knowledge, EPIC proficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced, acute care setting.

• Deliver direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic EMR

• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and update care plans accordingly

• Participate in care transitions and discharge planning

• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards

• Float to other units if required by hospital staffing needs

• Epic EMR experience (Required)

• Experience:

  • 2+ years Med Surg RN experience (No testing required)

  • OR 1 year in a 600+ bed academic hospital (Testing required with passing score)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred

• Licensure: Active NY State RN License (or ability to obtain)

• Certifications: BLS (Required), ACLS (Preferred)
