Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surge
Location – New, NY 10016
Job Duration : 3 + months: High possibility of extension
Pay Range: Up to $2600 weekly
Travel Rate available too
shift: Days & Nights – Rotating weekends
Schedule: 11.5 hour 3 days

Education Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution
- Self-Assessment Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam for Med/Surg
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Required Experience:
- Minimum Two (2) Years Med/Surg Experience in either:
- A large acute care hospital setting (most recent experience must be within the past year)
- Post-acute facility or acute care hospital setting (also must be within the past year)
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate medical information and provide direct bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients.
- Administer and document prescribed medications.
- Perform wound care, insert catheters, start IVs, and change dressings.
- Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment, interpret and record vital measurements.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to adverse medication reactions.
- Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and post-operative care.
- Maintain and update patient records and medical charts.
- Adhere to best nursing practices, protocols, and healthcare standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Physical assessment, Medication administration, Wound care & infection control
- IV therapy, post-operative care, Patient education, Telemetry monitoring.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
