Job Title: RN – Pediatric ICU (PICU) – Travel
Location: Oakland, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Pediatric ICU (PICU) Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients. The RN will manage complex cases, including cardiac patients, and deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-acuity PICU environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to pediatric patients in PICU
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring
- Manage cardiac and critically ill pediatric cases
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Educate patients’ families and provide emotional support
- Ensure compliance with safety and clinical guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License
- BLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Minimum 5 years PICU experience (no floating)
- Minimum 5 years cardiac experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
