Job Summary:
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- BLS
Skills:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

- ** Auto Offer Request ** ** Required: 2+ years of general Medsurg unit experience, Bls certification from AHA ** **
- Highly Preferred: at least one year of experience working on a surgical floor.
- ** ** Floating: candidates may be asked to float, location is acuity adaptable. May be asked to float to lockdown unit **
- Hours Per Week: 36.00
- Hours Per Day: 12.00
- Days Per Week: 3.00
