General Description:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care to a variety of patients in a hospital setting, ranging from simple to complex health conditions.

General Description:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care to a variety of patients in a hospital setting, ranging from simple to complex health conditions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note changes in physician orders.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures or treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data; observe patient conditions and intervene as necessary.
- Administer medications, including initiating, regulating, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products.
- Deliver safe, competent patient care.
- Communicate care plans to patients and families; educate on hospital procedures and discharge instructions.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
