Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse
Location Remote
Contract- 6 months
Shift- Available to work Monday Friday, Sunday Thursday, or Tuesday Saturday between 8 AM 8 PM CST

Position Summary:

• As a Remote LPN/LVN Prior Authorization Nurse, you will support the Healthcare Specialty Medical Prior Authorization Department by processing and communicating specialty medication prior authorization (PA) requests.
• You ll collaborate with physician offices, customer service, admissions, and pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate case handling and communications.

Responsibilities:

• Review criteria-based prior authorizations per policy and procedure
• Provide after-hours on-call nurse support for urgent PA requests
• Support internal PA and member services departments
• Refer cases outside of clinical guidelines to Pharmacist/MD teams
• Manage multiple priorities with urgency and professionalism
• Document all activity accurately in computer systems
• Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a HIPAA-compliant, distraction-free home office
• Must use secure private internet with at least 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload
• Must provide a screenshot of internet speed with resume
• Must include active license number on resume

Training Schedule:

• Initial Training (5 7 weeks): Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM CST
• Post-Training (6 weeks): Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST
• Ongoing Shifts: 8-hour shifts including one weekend day per week

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in state of residence
• 2+ years clinical LPN/LVN experience
• 1+ year using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in prior authorization
• Experience using Novologix
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented with excellent oral and written communication

Education Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of Practical or Vocational Nursing, approved by the appropriate state agency or NLNAC
Must hold a full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the U.S. or its territories
