Shift: Night Shift | 6:45 PM 7:15 AM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a Long-Term Acute Care setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. This role demands clinical excellence, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, tracheostomies, and central lines.

Demonstrate critical thinking and sound judgment in emergency situations.

Supervise and direct assigned personnel to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.

Maintain current knowledge and clinical competencies through continuing education.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Maintain accurate and complete documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:

Licensure: Current Texas RN license or a valid multi-state compact RN license (must be attached to resume).

Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached with submission).

Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent LTAC/Telemetry nursing experience required; 2 5 years preferred.

Clinical Skills:
-
Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required

Familiarity with central line management
-
Wound care experience preferred
-
Prior LTAC experience preferred

Shift: Night shift (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)

Contract Length: 8 weeks
