Duties:
Meets all eligibility requirements of a Registered Nurse I. Works under the supervision of the Director. The Registered Nurse II assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individualized care in a patient care area according to departmental policies, procedures, and the Nurse Practice Act. Individualizes care based on the age-appropriate and developmental needs of the patient and assumes responsibility for guiding co-workers in care delivery.

- Completes nursing assessments and documents appropriately.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans.
- Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team in care planning.
- Delegates and coordinates care delivery effectively.
- Initiates and participates in discharge planning.
- Leads patient and family education.
- Demonstrates competence in clinical implementation based on policy.
- Evaluates and updates care plans based on patient response.
- Participates in in-services, committees, and quality improvement activities.
- Provides holistic care (physical, psychosocial, spiritual).
- Uses positive communication to resolve conflict and support teamwork.
- Promotes cost-effective care by managing time and resources.
- Adheres to all safety protocols.
- Demonstrates flexibility with unit/hospital changes.
- Provides age-appropriate care based on patient population.
- Acts as preceptor and/or charge nurse as assigned.
- Participates actively in department goals and initiatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of clinical Registered Nurse experience in specialty areas.
- Required: Epic experience – minimum 6–12 months within the past year.
Skills:
- Heavy experience in:
- Client, neuro robotics (daVinci), and bariatrics
- Open hearts, TAVRs, eyes, GYN, general surgery, ENT, thoracic, vascular, endovascular, plastics
- Scrub skills highly preferred
Certifications & Licensure:

Required:
- Current California RN license
- BLS (American Heart Association)
