Schedule Notes: * 13 week contract * *** LIST THE SHIFT YOUR SUBMITTED WORKER IS INTERESTED IN ON THE COVERSHEET - IF THIS INFORMATION IS NOT INCLUDED YOUR CANDIDATE WILL BE REJECTED *** **REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years ED experience, Previous experience at a Trauma Level 1 facility, Current MI RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications ** Preferred: Previous travel experience, PALS certification, Previous experience working in an inner-city hospital. Emergency Department sees 200-300 patients per day. Patient population is all ages, but pediatrics is rare. High population of psych and critical patients. Only outsource burns and pediatrics. There are techs in the ED but due to staffing shortages they are not always readily available in every area. The schedule is created in six-week blocks and posted two weeks in advance. Please limit RTO and do not request more than 3 days consecutive PTO. Manager will be interviewing via phone.
Duties:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Education:
1. BSN preferred. 2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. 3. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. 4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. 5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Skills:
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.
