Nurse Supervisor

Job Title: Nurse Supervisor
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule: 5 days/week, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week, no on-call
Work Setting: Adult Behavioral Health
Pay Range: $85-$90/hr.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Seven (7) years of experience required
• Five (5) years in a supervisory role required
• Patient care
• Employee performance improvement
• Performance monitoring
• Unit assessment
• Corrective action implementation
• Record-keeping system development
• Medication error tracking
• Counseling

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing Program

Preferred Education:

• Master’s degree in Nursing

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• RN License
• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
• BLS

• Plan and develop programs to improve patient care and employee performance
• Monitor performance for patient care
• Assess units with nurse managers and communicate and assist with corrective action
• Develop record keeping system to record medication errors/counselling
