Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – CATH LAB
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Job duration: 3+ months of contract (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM| 5x8 Hour Shifts On-call required. Rotation may vary depending on staffing and unit's needs.

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
 
Responsibilities:

• Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• ASN Required
• BSN Preferred

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
• BLS – AHA
• ACLS – AHA
• Telemetry

• Must have Cath Lab experience
• Must be able to function as an intra-procedural RN responsible for documentation, medication administration, and circulator of minimally invasive procedures (e.g., LHC and PCI)

• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Experience with EPIC and Sensis
• Familiarity with equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, and atherectomy devices
• Vascular and/or Neuro diagnostic and interventional experience preferred
