Job Duration: 3+ Months with the possibility of extension
Contract Terms: W2
Shift/Schedule: 12*3 (Days/Nights)  
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Surgical ICU, managing trauma, post-op, vascular, and abdominal surgery patients.
• Safely manage ICU equipment including chest tubes and VAC dressings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, float as needed to MICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, and IMC.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR system.
• Deliver safe patient care with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control policies, and unit standards.
• Support patient and family education and participate in care planning.

• Minimum 3 years of Surgical/Trauma ICU experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge of post-op and critical care patients.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and open to collaborative patient care.
• Ability to adapt and float to other critical care units as needed.

• Additional trauma and surgical ICU experience.

• ACLS (AHA).
• Completion of facility eLearn’s/onboarding modules.

• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• EMR: Epic
