Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiology
Location: Hackensack, NJ 07601
Position Type: 3+ months (Local/Travel) Contract
 
Shift: Days/Nights. Every other weekend required. Holidays required.

Manahawkin, Red Bank, Neptune, Bricktown and Edison.

Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse at client involves the delivery of nursing practices according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, to provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care. A day in the life of a Registered Nurse includes: Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation Assessment.
Roles & Responsibilities:

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
• Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
• Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
• Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

 
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
• Performs age and disease specific assessment / data collection independently in a systematic manner focusing on physiologic, psychological and cognitive status.
• Recognizes clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identifies variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences.

 
Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care facility. Nurses will cover CAT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine/Pet.

 
Minimum Required Education:

• ASN

Preferred Education:

• BSN

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2+ (recent) years of strong rehab experience (need to have hospital-based experience) required.
• Float to med surg telemetry units if needed

 
Required Certifications & Licensure:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
• BLS
• AHA
• PALS
