Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedics
Location: Paramus, NJ 07652
Duration: 3 + Months Contract
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 5x8 (40 hrs./week)
Weekend/On-Call/Holiday: Not Required
Float: Travel between Paramus & Montvale locations
Travel Pay - $1901 + Weekly gross
Pay rate- $41/ hr. on w2 (Negotiable)

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting orthopedic patient populations. Responsible for assisting with patient care, assessments, and education to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Job Summary:
Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting orthopedic patient populations. Responsible for assisting with patient care, assessments, and education to ensure safe and effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including hygiene, ambulation, and meal assistance
- Perform ongoing data collection related to patient’s physical, psychosocial, and cognitive status
- Assist with pre-operative, post-operative, and post-mortem care
- Conduct medication reconciliation and provide patient education
- Perform preoperative assessments and communicate protocols clearly to patients
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to RN
- Maintain a safe patient environment and respond to call lights
- Position and transfer patients as needed
- Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs (age, culture, condition, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Active New Jersey LPN license
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to travel between clinic locations
Preferred:
- 5+ years of LPN experience
- Orthopedic experience/knowledge
- Experience with medication reconciliation and patient education
- Preoperative assessment experience
