Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) NICU
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Contract: 3 Months+
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Max Pay Local: $50/hr - $60/hr. on W2
Max Travel Pay: $60/hr - $70/hr (for 36hrs)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced clinical assessments and documentation for NICU patients.
- Develop, implement, and revise patient care plans in alignment with medical and nursing standards.
- Anticipate and prioritize patient needs in rapidly evolving clinical situations.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions for neonates with multi-system complications.
- Coordinate care with physicians, allied health professionals, and nursing staff.
- Educate and support families, ensuring clear communication around procedures, conditions, and discharge planning.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement processes.
- Precept, mentor, and train new or less experienced nursing staff.
- Maintain compliance with hospital competencies and mandatory education requirements.
- Current and active RN license in the state of California.
- Minimum 3 years of NICU experience in an acute care setting.
- Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Current AHA BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
