Pay Package Range: $3100 - $3500/week. on W2 (Negotiable)

Labor and Delivery Nurse Responsibilities:
- Meeting with expectant mothers for prenatal visits and providing care for normal and problematic pregnancies.
- Teaching childbirth preparation classes.
- Providing information, guidance, and hands-on clinical care to pregnant women.
- Monitoring fetal heartbeat and length and strength of contractions during labor.
- Coaching women, assisting with any complications and administering medications during birth.
- Performing tests on newborns after birth.
- Providing guidance to new mothers on all aspects of recovery and infant care.
- Using equipment and administering medications related to labor, delivery, and the care of newborns.
PICU Nurse Responsibilities:
- Continuous Monitoring: PICU nurses closely monitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, to detect any signs of deterioration or improvement promptly.
- Medication Administration: These nurses are responsible for administering medications accurately and safely, often handling potent drugs that require precise dosing based on a child's age and weight.
- Medical Procedures: They assist physicians in performing various medical procedures, such as inserting intravenous lines, chest tube placements, and urinary catheterizations.
- Managing Life-Support Equipment: PICU nurses are proficient in operating and monitoring advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors, to stabilize critically ill pediatric patients.
- Family Support: The nurses provide emotional support and clear communication to patients' families, helping them understand their child's condition and actively involving them in the care process.
- Collaborating with the Healthcare Team: PICU nurses work closely with pediatric intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for each patient.
- Emergency Response: They are prepared to respond rapidly to emergencies, delivering immediate interventions to stabilize patients during critical situations.
NICU Nurse Responsibilities:
- Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants.
- Caring for the basic needs of infants; for example, feeding and changing diapers.
- Performing medical procedures; for example, inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications.
- Assisting the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.
- Using and adjusting specialized medical equipment.
- Formulating nursing plans and evaluating the effectiveness of treatments.
- Comforting ill newborns and anxious parents and family members.
- Offering support to parents and family members and educating them on the at-home care of their newborn.
