Job Title: Staff RN Medicine/Surgery
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 3 Months+ / 13 weeks (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Shift: 12-hour Nights + EOW
 
Job Description:
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medicine and surgery units, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures.
  • Assessment & Monitoring: Perform routine assessments, observe patient conditions, and monitor for changes in health status, reporting findings to the healthcare team.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, post-surgical care, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to promote recovery and prevent complications.
  • Post-Operative Care: Provide support to patients recovering from surgery, managing pain, and ensuring safe recovery while monitoring for potential complications such as infections or adverse reactions.
 
Experience:
  • 2 years of relevant experience
 
Education:
  • ASN required
  • BSN preferred
 
Certifications and Licenses:
  • WI RN License or compact state license
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) preferred
