RN – Medical Surgical

Job Title: RN – Medical Surgical
Location: St. Joseph, MI, 49085
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: Nights 7 pm - 7:30 am, (3*12) hours shift, Every other weekend required. Float as needed.

Note: Non-Taxable Per Diem is also provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
 
Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in related department
• Active RN License (State of Michigan)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• ADN/BSN required 

• Provide nursing care to surgical/med-surg patients including post-operative cases such as nephrectomy, colectomy, amputation, ostomy, and drains, while assessing patient conditions and monitoring progress using the nursing process.
• Develop and implement care plans, collaborate with healthcare teams, and manage treatments such as TPN, central lines, pain pumps, and negative pressure dressings.
• Ensure proper documentation, deliver patient education, and utilize strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills in a fast-paced hospital environment.
