Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 3 Months+
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)
Local: $75/hr. on W2
Travel: $80/hr. on W2
Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility.
Referral bonus on each successful referral.
Role Overview:
The Oncology RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, and palliative care. This role requires compassionate, detail-oriented care and close collaboration with physicians, patients, and families to ensure high-quality support throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments per protocol
- Monitor and manage patient symptoms and treatment side effects
- Assess patient condition and report changes to the care team
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatments, and symptom management
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety standards related to oncology care
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during the cancer journey
- Adhere to infection control and medication handling protocols
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Registered Nurse License (California)
- Minimum 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
