Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards. This role includes independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions as defined by the State Board of Nursing. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care to achieve optimal patient outcomes, while also providing education, counseling, and support to patients and their families.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations of patient health status
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans
- Provide supportive and restorative treatments and therapies
- Deliver patient education and counseling
- Execute delegated medical functions under provider guidance
- Monitor therapy and treatment plans; refer patients for further evaluation when needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per hospital and regulatory standards
- Promote and uphold the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health
- Use available resources effectively and responsibly
- Float to other departments as needed within scope and qualifications
- Participate in on-call rotation, if applicable
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to carry out all duties with a high level of clinical competence and professionalism
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
- Ability to function independently and within a team
- Ability to adapt to changing clinical needs and work environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting
