Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 3 + Months (with possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $75 - $85/hr. on W2
Schedule Notes: Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12 shifts | Every Other Weekend | Required Holidays as needed | No On-Call | Floating required
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassionate family-centered care. The RN plans, implements, and documents individualized care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality outcomes for neonates.

Job Summary:

The RN plans, implements, and documents individualized care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality outcomes for neonates.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized neonatal care.
- Perform ventilator management, IV therapy, central line care, and medication administration.
- Monitor and document vital signs, nutrition, growth, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and the NICU team.
- Provide education and emotional support to families throughout hospitalization and discharge planning.
- Float to other units as needed.
Requirements:
- Active NY RN License.
- Current AHA BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
- ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of recent Level III NICU experience.
- Proficiency with neonatal ventilators, central lines, IV therapy, and advanced monitoring equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN.
- RNC-NIC (Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing Certification).
- ACLS Certification.
- Prior high-acuity NICU experience in an urban hospital setting.
