Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Austin, TX 78749
Job Duration: 6 Months+ (possibility of extension)

 
Schedule: Every other weekend rotation required; holiday rotations possible

  • Current BLS certification from ARC or AHA required (copy provided upon offer acceptance; screenshot not needed).

Position Summary:
Client Nurse Practitioners collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence-based care to a panel of patients. The care team works with the provider daily to improve outcomes across the entire patient panel. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning. Reports to the Practice Manager.
 
Key Duties:
  • Provide primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health problems.
  • Deliver patient counseling and disposition planning.
  • Perform administrative duties: opening/closing clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Handle patient appointments and routine examinations to ensure positive health outcomes.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Complete diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and treatment of injuries or illnesses.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan.
  • Encourage patient engagement in their own health through screenings, wellness, behavioral health, and chronic disease management.
 
Experience & Skills:
  • Master’s Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program graduate with current National Board Certification and state licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent primary care experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Completion of Client Minute Clinic primary care training is acceptable.
  • Working knowledge of quality measurement in chronic disease management.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative; prioritizes and solves problems independently.
  • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Capable of working remotely in a collaborative clinical care team.
  • Able to practice autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in information management and clinical technology.
  • Willingness to obtain multi-state licensures.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with professional colleagues.
 
Education:
  • Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current National Board Certification
  • State license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse
