Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Ortho/Trauma
Location: Milwaukee, WI 53226
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possible extension)
Shift: 3rd shift (12-hour nights)
Schedule: 3 Days Per Week, 36 Hours Per Week, Float as needed, up to every other weekend.
Job Summary:
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a defined group of patients in an inpatient environment.
- Demonstrates competency in delivering care to primarily adult populations.
- Collects comprehensive patient data and uses it to determine diagnoses or issues.
- Identifies individualized outcomes and develops care strategies accordingly.
- Implements care plans and evaluates outcomes effectively.
- Demonstrates ongoing professional growth by participating in educational activities, self-reflection, and seeking new learning opportunities.
- Applies evidence-based nursing knowledge in practice, shares findings with colleagues, and contributes to the development of quality nursing practices.
- Uses creativity and innovation to enhance care delivery, monitors quality and safety benchmarks, and leads or contributes to clinical care evaluations.
- Applies the PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act) model to improve nursing practices and outcomes.
- Participates in cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
- Engages in hourly rounding and demonstrates key behaviours consistently.

- Required: BSN or Nursing Diploma
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Licensure & Certifications:

Required:
- Current Wisconsin RN License or Multi-State Nursing License (NLC)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Skills & Experience:
- Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations relevant to the Ortho/trauma setting (1+ years in relevant unit in acute care hospitals strongly desired)
