RN - ICU Step Down

Shift - 7 AM - 7:30 PM
Pay - $70/hr - $75/hr.

Job Summary:

• Care for patients transitioning out of the ICU requiring more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit. Monitoring patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators and cardiac monitors.
• RN to patient ratio 1:4, ranging from young adult to geriatric.
• Frequent patient assessments and proper escalation of a patients change in medical condition.
• Responding to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes.

Skills:Required Skills & Experience:

• Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical SD experience.
• OR -Two (2) years of ICU experience. -Two (2) years of IV Insertion & Phlebotomy experience. -
• Two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience. -Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age specific competency.

Required Education: -

• Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accreditated Nursing Program. -Evidence of graduation from an accredited National League of Nursing School. -Baccalaureate degree or satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Preferred Education: -N/A

• Required Certifications & Licensure: -New York State RN License. -Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED). -AHA BLS. -AHA ACLS.
