Duration: 3 + Months (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides competent and compassionate nursing care to a variety of hospital patients, ranging from simple to complex conditions. This role involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams, monitoring patient status, and delivering evidence-based care.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
These responsibilities are core to the position. Inability to perform them with or without reasonable accommodation may result in disqualification.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
  • Note and act on all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic or therapeutic procedures
  • Obtain and monitor vital physiological data; observe patient responses and intervene as necessary
  • Administer medications and intravenous (IV) therapies, including blood products
  • Provide comprehensive, competent care to meet patients’ physical and emotional needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, including care planning and discharge instructions
  • Educate patients and families on hospital policies and health-related topics
  • Refer patients to appropriate personnel or services based on care needs
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing support staff
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theories, techniques, and procedures
  • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
  • Ability to apply nursing techniques appropriately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse cultural and language needs of patients and families
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and charting
