Job Title: RN - Modified Care Unit
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI
Duration: 3 Months / 13 weeks (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Shift: 12-hour Days
 
Job Description:
  • Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs).
  • Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments of heart function, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and response to treatments, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Education & Support: Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, medications, lifestyle changes, and post-treatment care to support recovery and prevention.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to cardiac emergencies, such as arrhythmias or heart attacks, by providing immediate interventions (e.g., CPR, defibrillation) and coordinating with emergency teams.
 
Experience:
  • 2 years of experience in cardiac care unit or relevant
 
Education:
  • ASN required
  • BSN preferred
 
Certifications and Licenses:
  • WI RN License or compact state license
  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) required
