Phlebotomist II
Location: Flint, MI
Duration: 3months
Shift: 8am to 5pm M-F
Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our company to patients visiting for routine health services or important medical decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while adhering to established procedures. They maintain direct patient contact, build trust, and clearly explain procedures to ensure a safe, skillful, and accurate blood draw experience. The PSR II also demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and timely under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established protocols.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain initials and signatures to confirm correct specimen labeling post-venipuncture.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Skills and Abilities:

Deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Strong decision-making skills following established procedures.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to work across multiple locations and cover shifts with minimal notice.

Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Superior customer focus with open, transparent communication.

Adaptability to change and solid understanding of company business.
Education and Certification:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
Experience:
-
Minimum three (3) years phlebotomy experience.
