Job Title: Travel Scrub Technician / Surgical Technologist
Location: Charleston, SC
Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Pay range - $55/hr - $60/hr.(Travel/Perdiem pay is also available)

Provide safe care for patients while adhering to professional and hospital standards. Act as a support during surgical procedures (but not as a surgical assistant), maintain asepsis, and assist in patient care planning and coordination.

Location: Charleston, SC

Schedule Notes:
- 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
- Day Shift: 6:30am to 3pm
- 2 weekday calls and every 3rd-4th weekend call
Job Summary:
Provide safe care for patients while adhering to professional and hospital standards. Act as a support during surgical procedures (but not as a surgical assistant), maintain asepsis, and assist in patient care planning and coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.
- Perform scrubbing duties during surgeries and maintain aseptic conditions.
- Ensure proper handling of surgical equipment and supplies.
- Communicate patient information to appropriate team members.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and support teamwork.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff.
Skills & Requirements:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Surgical technology certification (NBSTSA or NCCT required).
- Clinical operating room experience preferred (1+ year).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to handle physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under stress.
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet one of the following:
- Complete an accredited surgical technology program and hold current certification.
- Military training as a surgical technologist.
- Prior employment as a surgical technologist in the state before January 1, 2008.
- Federal government service in a related field.
