Phlebotomist I
Duration: 2 months
Location: Yonkers, NY
Shift: 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday Saturdays 8am to 12pm
Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00
Phlebotomy Certification is required
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the first point of contact for patients visiting for routine care or critical health insights. This role involves collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing, following established procedures. The PSR I interacts directly with patients, creating a professional and trustworthy environment by clearly explaining procedures and performing collections safely and accurately.
The PSR I is expected to demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for patient confidentiality while consistently following best practices and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Confidently collect and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established protocols.

Maintain accurate documentation and required records.

Promote a positive and professional image to patients, coworkers, clients, and the general public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred: Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic programs.

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months related experience.

One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service industries preferred.

Proficiency in keyboard use and data entry required.
