Shift: 8am to 5pm M-F
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the company, delivering exceptional patient care during routine health visits or when patients are seeking important diagnostic insights. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully and safely drawing blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing, all while ensuring compassionate and professional experience. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Draw quality blood samples from patients (including pediatric and geriatric populations) in a safe and accurate manner.
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols.
Explain procedures to patients, ensuring a comfortable and trusting environment.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimens and patient interactions.
Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Adhere to all procedural, safety, and confidentiality standards.
Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection as needed.
Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete daily tasks accurately and on time.
Demonstrate company Leadership Behaviors and a commitment to service excellence.
Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, and the public.
Job Requirements:
Ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including the ability to perform pediatric and geriatric draws.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime based on staffing needs.
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
Duration: 2-3months
