Phlebotomist I

Title: Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Lewes, DE
Duration: 5 months
Shift: Monday - Friday - 6:00 am - 3:00pm

The PSR I is the frontline representative, providing patient care by drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing. This role involves direct patient interaction, creating a trusting environment, explaining procedures, and performing safe, accurate phlebotomy. The PSR I upholds confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence while demonstrating leadership behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following protocols.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Ensure a safe, professional work environment.

• Support positive patient and public interactions.

• Perform duties independently and on time.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

• Minimum 6 months experience; 1+ years preferred.

• Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.

• Customer service and data entry skills essential.

• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
