Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during GI procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and EBU.
- Prepare and set up procedure rooms with required instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and reprocessing of endoscopes and accessories per policy.
- Perform patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile and safe environment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Verify patient documentation, consents, and procedure time-outs.
- Handle and label specimens accurately and deliver them to the lab.
- Assist with room turnover between cases to maintain workflow efficiency.
Licensure & Certifications:
- BLS (AHA Only)
