Job Description: Position Summary: The candidate will support the design and manufacturing of bioprocessing equipment with specific responsibilities on existing electrical components, electrical subsystems and product testing. Job Duties and Responsibilities:* An Electrical Engineer focusing on cabinet design and improvement creates electrical schematics and layouts, modifies existing cabinet designs, and supports manufacturing and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include designing electrical cabinets based on specifications, using CAD software, selecting components, performing calculations, and collaborating with mechanical engineers. This role also involves creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and providing technical support to production and service teams.
Job description: Electrical Engineer I (Cabinet Design/Improvement)
Responsibilities
Design and modify electrical and mechanical cabinets according to customer requirements and company standards.
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD (AutoCad) software.
Develop and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical components and panels.
Conduct necessary electrical calculations, and perform simulations to optimize designs.
Research and select appropriate electrical components and materials to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and production engineers, to ensure seamless integration and successful project execution.
Provide technical support to the production team during assembly and to the service team during installation and troubleshooting.
Participate in design reviews, testing, and evaluation of prototypes to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
Generate and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or combination of related experience and any technical certification.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for electrical design.
Understanding of electrical principles, and PLCs based control systems.
Experience with or understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation is a plus.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL, NEC).
Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
