Clerical Assistant
Job Title: Clerical Assistant
Pay range - $22/hr.- $25/hr
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 2 months with Possible extension
Work Hours: 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This role involves maintaining efficient office operations through data entry, communication coordination, and supporting healthcare staff and patients with professionalism. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence preparation

Answer phones, provide reception duties, and manage scheduling of meetings

Operate office equipment (fax, photocopier, computer, etc.)

Use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level to complete daily administrative functions

Maintain professional demeanor when liaising with nurses, physicians, and staff

Provide excellent customer service and engage with patients throughout the day

Ensure accurate indexing and typing tasks (minimum 50 keystrokes per minute)

Support day-to-day workflow in a dynamic healthcare setting
Skills & Requirements:

Typing Speed: Minimum 50 keystrokes per minute

Software: Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency required

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar clerical role (Required)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Communication: Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills

Work Environment: Comfortable interacting with patients and clinical staff daily
