Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist I
Location: Delray Beach, FL
Job Duration: 4+ Months (with possibility of extension)
Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, 6:20 AM – 3:30 PM (Rotational weekends required)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) to join our team in Delray Beach, FL. The PSR I serves as the face of the company, providing high-quality specimen collection services to patients. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Build trust and confidence with patients by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
- 1+ years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment (Preferred)
- Keyboard/data entry experience (Required)
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Punctuality and full-shift availability are mandatory.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must list their home city and commute time to the jobsite on their resume.
- Commute time must be within 20–25 minutes of Delray Beach, FL.
- Rate is based on years of direct experience (overlapping roles do not count twice).
- Excessive absenteeism or tardiness will result in termination.
