Job Title: Surgical Technician
Job Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Job Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility to extend)
 
Shift: Rotating 3x12s Monday through Friday - Day shift either (7 am - 7:30 pm) or (8:30 am – 9 pm), call once per week (7 pm – 7 am) and call one weekend per six weeks (Sat/Sun).
 
Job Summary:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, responsible for the handling or surgical instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures.
• Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the assigned surgical team.
• Also provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services and assisting surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.

 
Required Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

 
Preferred Education:

• Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred (not required).

 
Required Certification & Licensure:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support required.

 
Required Skills & Experience:

• Must have at least 1+ years of strong recent ST experience.

 
Schedule Notes: REQUIRED: Minimum 1 year experience, BLS certification through AHA, High School degree or GED equivalent.

Hours Per Day: 12.00
Days Per Week: 3.00
