Job Title: Supply Chain Technician
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 3 Months+ Possible Extension
 
General Description:
Under general supervision, the associate is responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and delivering general, medical, and surgical supplies across healthcare settings. Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with inventory and safety policies.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Put away supplies in clean rooms, carts, and other designated storage areas, following proper rotation and storage protocols.
  • Scan inventory labels to generate replenishment orders for stock and non-stock items.
  • Pick and distribute supplies for Case Carts, Exchange Carts (e.g., Code/Crash Carts, Procedural Carts/Trays).
  • Check product expiration dates and remove expired items per policy.
  • Distribute oxygen tanks as needed.
  • Assist with special projects, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
  • Deliver supplies and packages to nursing units, clinics, and other locations, using signature or tracking technologies.
  • Perform inventory issues and credits in the Materials Management Information System (MMIS), ensuring proper cost allocation.
  • Report inventory discrepancies and document appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and par locations.
  • Assist with training new supply chain staff.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and customer service requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Experience:
  • None required.
  • Healthcare and/or inventory experience preferred.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Typing and computer skills; ability to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency with MMIS and standard office equipment (fax, copy, printer).
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills with coworkers, management, and clinical staff.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal English.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies as needed.
  • Must adhere to safe handling and infection control protocols.
