Phlebotomist II - 1st Shift
Location: Nanuet NY
Shift/Time Zone: Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM Alternate Saturdays 8am-12pm
Duration: 3-4 months
Pay Range - $21.80/hr on W2
Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of our company to patients, guiding them through routine health visits or life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence. The PSR II ensures accurate, safe, and professional patient interactions while adhering to established procedures and demonstrating leadership and process excellence. Assignments may be at a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.

Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established practices.

Verify patient demographic information, including patient initials and post-venipuncture signature to confirm correct tube labeling.

Maintain required records and documentation.

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
Job Requirements:

Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Possess excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as staffing requires.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

Make decisions using established procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

Ability to travel and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Exhibit superior customer focus, transparent communication, adaptability to change, and knowledge of company operations.
Education & Training:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
