Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 4 days per week, 40 hours per week
Additional Scheduling Notes:

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Tuesday: OFF

• Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 6:15 PM

• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

• Friday: 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM

• HM will call directly for interviews

• Expectations include: good attendance, ability to work in a fast-paced clinic, and effective collaboration

Job Summary:

• A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team

• Responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming duties, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and other duties as assigned

• Helps patients feel at ease while supporting the provider during the visit

• May be required to cross-train and float to maintain clinic operations

• Rooms patients using standard procedures to ensure optimal flow and meet service standards

• Performs clinical tasks such as medication and vaccine administration, and procedure assistance per protocol

• Handles administrative tasks including outgoing paperwork within standard turnaround times

• Reviews educational materials and After Visit Summaries with patients

• Uses Epic to document care accurately, professionally, and timely

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

• Must meet one of the following:

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)

  • Graduate of a non-CAAHEP/ABHES Medical Assistant program

  • Military Medic/Corpsman training

Licensure & Certifications:

• Must currently hold and be in good standing with at least one of the following:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

  • Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS or AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire

• Certification through AAMA and/or equivalent board or certifying body preferred

Required Skills & Experience:

• Three (3) years of formal on-the-job Medical Assistant experience in addition to required education
