Clinical Dietician
Job Title: Clinical Dietitian
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Assignment Type: 3 months (Temp-to-Perm opportunity)
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating nutritional care plans for patients across diverse populations. The role focuses on outpatient diabetes management and education, with occasional inpatient support.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutritional care plans.

Conduct age-appropriate assessments for patients at nutritional risk, including those with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes (4–8 patients/day).

Adapt care plans to meet patients’ economic, social, cultural, and age-related needs.

Reassess and update care plans at appropriate intervals.

Provide education to patients and families to support nutrition goals and diabetes management.

Assess learning needs and readiness to learn for all patients/families.

Participate in creating and reviewing patient education materials and departmental resources.

Occasionally provide inpatient education for new-onset diabetes cases.
Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong knowledge of nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, diabetes management, and pediatrics.

Ability to identify deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and educate patients/families.

Proficiency in nutrition-related software, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Excellent assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
