Initial Duration – 3 months+ (High possibilities of Extension)
Shift– 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM/ 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Every Third Weekend Required
Pay Range:
For Local Candidates- $85 - $90/hr. on w2 (negotiable)

Job Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Per Diem, Certified Pharmacist, and Staff Pharmacist III are responsible for the dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.

- Stipend is also provided to the candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility
- Other locations available in NJ.
- Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states.
Job Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Per Diem, Certified Pharmacist, and Staff Pharmacist III are responsible for the dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Essential Generic Job Functions (List in order of importance):
- Complies with all state and federal regulations and Medical Center policies and procedures relating to drug dispensing, including appropriate handling of drug products, adherence to security procedures, and completion of necessary documentation. This includes appropriate control and dispensing of controlled dangerous substances and investigational drugs.
- Reviews and dispenses medication orders and clarifies any and all potential problems with orders.
- Monitors patient drug therapy regimens for allergies, drugdrug interactions, drugfood interactions, and potential adverse reactions.
- Prepares admixtures using aseptic techniques (e.g., IV solutions, TPN, chemotherapy).
- Performs assigned unit inspections to assure proper maintenance and storage of medication supplies, including emergency drug supplies.
- Oversee activities of ancillary personnel (Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant/Couriers).
- Employs principles of safe medication practice as dictated by departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 1 Year of acute care Chemo trained experience Required
- Chemotherapy Review and Preparation Skills
- 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Knowledge of unit dose dispensing and principles of aseptic technique and related computer applications.
Required Education:
- Graduate of an APCE accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a minimum of a BS degree in Pharmacy.
