Summary:
This position is responsible for processing authorization approved by clinicians, performing data entry, responding to inquires from Care Coordinators, and supporting the clinicians in the Medical Management department with their provider activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of college and 2 years experience with automated systems OR 3 years experience with automated systems.
Experience providing assistance to clinicians.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
PC proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
Customer service skills.
Verbal and written communications skills including completing written correspondence to members and to other department personnel.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1 year experience in the medical field and/or with managed care system(s),
