Job Title: Applications Analyst II – Epic Optime| Anesthesia Analyst
Location Available: Boston, MA 02118 (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months+ Contract (Possibilities of Extension)
 
Pay Rate: $75/hr. on W2


Hours: 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST


Position Summary:
We are seeking a certified Epic OpTime/Anesthesia Analyst to join our Clinical Applications team. This role is essential in supporting surgical and anesthesia workflows, optimizing system performance, and enhancing clinical operations through expert Epic build and cross-functional collaboration.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Epic Configuration & Optimization:
  • Design, build, and maintain Epic OpTime and Anesthesia modules
  • Translate clinical/operational requirements into effective Epic configuration
  • Configure settings for charting, documentation, billing, device integration, and 3rd-party app connectivity (SFTP)
  • Standardize build across environments and maintain detailed documentation
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and automate where possible
  • Support go-lives, optimizations, and post-live stabilization efforts
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Anesthesia SMEs and clinical leaders to gather requirements and validate workflows
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities, define scope, and meet deliverables
Testing & Troubleshooting:
  • Develop and execute test plans for build, upgrades, and fixes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with minimal disruption
  • Maintain detailed testing documentation
System Maintenance & Upgrades:
  • Evaluate new Epic features and upgrades for relevance
  • Lead upgrade implementation and user communication
  • Maintain clear records of system configuration and decisions
Ongoing Support:
  • Respond to support tickets within SLA
  • Provide knowledge transfer sessions and create user-facing documentation
  • Support high-priority issues and work requests during business hours
 
Travel Requirements:
  • On-site presence required from November 3–14, 2025 for go-live stabilization
  • Must be comfortable working directly with clinical teams during this period
 
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Epic OpTime and Anesthesia Certification (held for at least 3 years)
  • 3+ years of Epic build/implementation experience post-certification
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia and surgical workflows
  • Experience supporting system-wide go-lives and optimizations
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with device integration and third-party app setup
  • Ability to create workflow diagrams, training guides, and technical documentation for diverse audiences
