Phlebotomist I

Location: Saint Augustine, FL
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Mandatory Saturday Rotation: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, providing compassionate and professional service to patients. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining a safe, accurate, and confidential environment. The PSR I builds trust with patients by clearly explaining procedures and delivering care with skill and empathy.

• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Provide excellent patient care by creating a welcoming and professional environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the work area.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily operations.
• Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
• Customer service experience in retail or healthcare settings (Preferred)
• Proficient in keyboard/data entry

• Must reside within a 20–25 minute commute from the Saint Augustine, FL site.
• Reliable transportation is required (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
• Must be punctual, available for full scheduled shifts, and maintain excellent attendance.
